Week 3

Day 1:  Students will crate a fold able using either their own notebook paper or construction paper.  They will identify and give an example of incomplete dominance, selective breeding, mutation, and genetic engineering. 

Day 2:  PowerPoint on Incomplete and Co-dominance.  Students will take notes.

Day 3:  PowerPoint on Selective Breeding - Notes need to be created.

Day 4:  Students will review the incomplete dominance, selective breeding, mutation, and genetic engineering by using USAtestprep, a website that is use to enhance the learning of my students.   They will utilize the Battle Royal game to reinforce what they have learned.  The game is set up by me and assigned to each student.  They can play in groups of 2 or 4.

Week 4

Day 5:  Students will take their Mini-Assessment and then finish their key chain.

Week 5:

Day 1:  To begin week 5, students will continue to study DNA, Genes, and they will be introduced to RNA.   They will work in their Note taking workbooks and their text books. They will identify RNA and the three types of RNA.   Students will complete a Venn Diagram to differentiate between DNA and RNA.

Day 2:  RNA PowerPoint - Students will review and take a few notes for better understanding of RNA Translation and Transcription.

Day 3:  DNA Review.

Day 4:  RNA Review Activity - Begin as a whole group activity and then to a small group activity.

Day 5: DNA Project - Have Your DNA and Eat it TOO.

Week 6

Day 1 - Sexual and Asexual Reproduction

Week 7

Days 1-5:   Students will spent two days answering questions and going over information.  They will continue to review on Wednesday and they will play Genetics Bingo on Thursday to Prepare for the test.  On Friday they will take their Summative assessment for this unit.
